Dr. Larue Fitch, a distinguished luminary in the educational arena, embarked on his scholarly voyage by attaining a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Saint Xavier University, heralding the genesis of his academic expedition and laying the groundwork for subsequent achievements. Driven by an unyielding commitment to educational stewardship, Dr. Fitch proceeded to acquire his Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Chicago State University. In the year 2024, he attained his Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from the same institution.
Driven by an impassioned dedication to the field of education, Dr. Fitch assiduously cultivated a sturdy foundation, with a particular emphasis on advocating for diversity and nurturing an unwavering belief in the potential success of all learners. Commencing his pedagogical career as an elementary school educator, he adeptly imbued students in grades 4 through 8 with purpose and zeal, delivering comprehensive instruction in the disciplines of science, literacy, and mathematics. Across his seven-year tenure in the classroom, Dr. Fitch not only forged profound connections with his students but also established a secure and nurturing learning milieu conducive to scholarly growth and development.
The trajectory of Dr. Fitch’s professional evolution witnessed his assumption of leadership roles, commencing with his designation as the Science Lead Teacher. This experience, characterized by collaborative endeavors with colleagues, served as a catalyst for his ardent pursuit of additional leadership opportunities. Over a span of seven years, he ascended through various administrative capacities, culminating in his current role as the Assistant Principal for Chicago Public Schools.
Currently in his 17th year within the educational landscape, Dr. Fitch concurrently serves as an Administrator and Adjunct Professor. Beyond his administrative duties, Dr. Fitch has made significant contributions as an Educational Consultant and author of four scholarly works: “Breaking the Education Code: Series 1,” “Breaking The Education Code: Series 2 (Going from Negro to Black),” “Josiah Strong,” and “Breaking The Education Code: Series 3 (The Future of Education is Rooted in Project-Based Learning).” His steadfast commitment to educational excellence is further underscored by active participation in transformative initiatives such as the Transformative Teaching Cohort, Teach Plus, and Democratic Classroom. Notably, he is an alumnus of the New Leaders Council and a member of the Pulitzer 2021-22 Cohort.
